To work in the security industry, you must first obtain an SIA approved qualification in order to learn the essential skills required to work as a security guard, before applying for your SIA badge.
Whether you want to work as a door supervisor, security guard, retail store guard, business security guard, event security or CCTV operator, our range of SIA security training courses and upskilling courses in Derby and Burton enable you to work in your chosen field in the UK.
SIA licences are valid for 3 years and need to be manually renewed.
It’s a criminal offence to take on security work without a valid SIA licence. Anyone caught doing so can be punished with up to six months in prison, or a £5,000 fine.

Our Story
S K TRAINING
S K Training is a security training provider established in the summer of 2021, and part of the Security Kings Ltd group. We deliver award winning security courses to trainees located in Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Staffordshire and travelling participants from locations across the UK.
We created our award winning security training programme after identifying a significant demand for security personnel and the need for a quality security training provider within Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.
It was also important to us that security industry expertise and knowledge must be passed to the next generation. With the growing lack of security staff and number of unfulfilled job vacancies, now is the best time to train in the security industry. Security Kings is a trusted, local security guard company offering services, training and jobs with quality at the heart of everything we do.
The Training School
Our SIA courses take place at the RTC Business Park in Derby city centre and occasionally in Burton at Pirelli Stadium, home to Burton Albion Football Club. We continue to receive top quality feedback from trainees, staff and the regulated awarding body, the QNUK on the impressive delivery and outcome of our courses.
